Even during the coronavirus lockdown, Lamerhav House in Beer Sheva remains open and serves as food and product distribution point for lone soldiers. Though all our activities have moved online, the ‘Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin’ in Beer Sheva is now operating within Lamerhav House, and remains a center that provides services to lone soldiers in Beer Sheva. This is both a home and an address for every lone soldier.
On Rosh Hashanah, an operation was underway to distribute holiday meals from Lamerhav House to 65 lone soldiers throughout Beer Sheva. This operation was initiated by the Lone Soldier Center with the help of volunteers and families who joined in.
As part of their amazing operations, they also make sure to regularly deliver groceries to soldiers in quarantine (including young adults before their military service and released soldiers with no support), and even send surprises to soldiers that are confined to their bases. You are the best!
